Turning heads as the superhero franchise’s third Cassie Lang alongside Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Jonathan Majors is American actress Kathryn Newton. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debutante has previously played roles in critically-acclaimed films such as Lady Bird and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and a main role in the HBO drama series Big Little Lies.
With her newest role that is already garnering attention among fans because of its sudden recast, audiences are eager to learn more about the talented twenty-six-year-old.

She is from Orlando, Florida
The young actress was born and brought up in Orlando, Florida to David and Robin Newton. Kathryn now resides in Los Angeles, California, according to PopBuzz, where she is focusing on her acting career as she is set to play the lead role in Zelda Williams’ directorial debut Lisa Frankenstein.
She Started Acting At the Age of 4
Kathryn made her television debut on the ABC soap opera All My Children playing a young Colby Marian Chandler. She then went on to star in two short films, Abbie Down East (2002) and Bun-Bun (2003).
She is The MCU’s Third Cassie Lang
Cassie Lang, the daughter of Scott Lang, aka, Ant-Man, is yet another MCU character to be recast multiple times. In her first appearance in Ant-Man (2015), Cassie was played by Abby Ryder Fortson, who then was replaced by Emma Fuhrmann in Avengers: Endgame (2019).
She Appeared in HBO’s Adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies
Kathryn played her first main TV role as Abigail Carlson in the critically-acclaimed series alongside stars Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, Zoë Kravitz, Adam Scott, and Alexander Skarsgård. She also played a recurring role on Supernatural from 2014-2018 as Claire Novak.
She is a Golf Player
The Paranormal Activity 4 actress would have been a professional golf player if it wasn’t for her acting career. Kathryn began competing in golf tournaments when she was 8. She was also supposed to compete in the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open but withdrew after bagging the lead role in the horror film.
