Yesterday was a very sad day for music fans when news broke that Kirshnik Khari Ball a.k.a. Takeoff had died in a shooting-related incident in Houston, Texas in the early hours of the morning.
Exactly what happened is still unclear, but according to multiple sources Migos members Quavo and Takeoff were at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston when some kind of an altercation occurred between two different groups at the entrance of the bowling alley. Shots were fired by two individuals and Takeoff was fatally injured, while two other people were also reportedly harmed.
Videos and images of the tragic incident began circulating on social media soon after, with clips of a distraught Quavo wailing in distress over the death of his nephew (Takeoff was related to both Quavo and Offset, the later being his cousin once removed.)
Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner said in a press conference yesterday that he had no reason to believe that Takeoff had been involved in “anything criminal at this time,” according to CNN.
While the music industry still reels in shock over the tragic incident, Ja Rule and Gucci Mane have both shared their condolences over the death of the young rapper. Offset and Quavo have yet to share, post or comment publicly about the incident.
