Why Is Priyanka Chopra Jonas In Australia?
The Bollywood star is currently enjoying the sunny weather Down Under
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is a busy lady. Having jetted between Switzerland, France, Ireland, and Italy in recent weeks, the actress and film producer also managed to wrap up filming on her upcoming movie, Heads of State, in which she stars alongside Idris Elba and John Cena – and has now delved straight into her next high profile project.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Citadel star shared a video aboard a yacht in Australia, where she will be residing for the next three months to shoot her latest movie, The Bluff.
In the video, Priyanka can be seen with the cast and crew of the film, along with her daughter Malti Marie, as they enjoy a day out in the sun.
“When I start a new project it’s really important for me to know that the people that come together to make it are top notch. We spend so much time together, away from our families and homes ,thinking ,eating and breathing the art we’re contributing to. It becomes so much easier when everyone you’re surrounded by is full of joy , dedication and the absolute best at their craft. This feels like that. Here’s to new beginnings,” wrote the star, in the caption.
On Friday, the 41-year-old actress attended a reading session for the film, sharing a snapshot of the script on her Instagram Story. “It begins…,” she shared to her 91 million followers on the platform.
Prior to filming, Priyanka also documented her arrival Down Under. In the video, we see a panoramic view from the aeroplane window, interspersed with clips of Malti Marie looking adorable at the airport.
About The Bluff
Directed by Frank Ewen Flowers, and produced by Amazon MGM Studios and AGBO, The Bluff will see Priyanka both in front and behind the camera, as she takes on the role of co-producer for the film, as well as playing the role of Ercell, a former female pirate in the upcoming thriller, starring alongside Karl Urban.
Set in the 19th-century Caribbean, the film follows Priyanka’s character as she embarks on a journey to protect her family when mysterious sins from her past resurface.
