Why Was Madonna in the Hospital?
The famed pop star is on the road to recovery after falling ill back in June
Madonna, famously known as the Queen of Pop is renowned for her music, outlandish style and striking character. Fans have also adored the singer for being unapologetically herself, even at 62. However, there comes a time when even prominent figures face difficult circumstances. Madonna took to her Instagram yesterday to reflect on her recovery. She said “Love from family and friends is the best Medicine. One month out of the hospital and I can reflect.”
Why was Madonna in the Hospital?
Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, posted on June 28 that the singer was admitted in the ICU, because she was suffering from a serious bacterial infection. He also mentioned that she is expected to make a full recovery but would have to postpone her world tour.
The Celebration tour would be the singer’s 12th global tour and it was set to begin in Canada in July. However, due to her unexpected illness and the need to prioritise her health, the tour date was pushed ahead in time.
On July 10, after a tremendous amount of time in the hospital, the singer posted a message for her fans and well-wishers. The singer wrote “My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children.”
The singer has 4 children all who she shares a very tight bond with. She also wrote ” My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour.” To which her fans responded by saying “Your health and family come first!!! So glad to see you looking refreshed and rested in that second pic! ❤️❤️❤️”
The singer has used Instagram as a platform to express how grateful she is to all her friends and family who aided her during the tough times.
