AlUla on Wheels: Swizz Beatz is Bringing A Roller Rink To Saudi Arabia
Good Intentions – a global creative movement helmed by the American record producer and his partner Noor Taher – is joining forces with AlUla Moments to bring a bit of throwback fun to KSA this October
Talk about a blast from the past… While Baby Boomers may still remember the joys of gliding around a concrete track to disco tunes in hot pants, holding hands with a sweetheart and trying (perhaps a bit too hard) not to crash land on the floor, Millennials and Gen-Zers are discovering the novelties of the roller rink for the first time in their lives. Yes, what was once thought of as an outdated pastime is now a fun way to spend an evening with friends as strapping on a pair of roller skates becomes cool yet again – and this throwback activity is making its way to AlUla very soon, with a modern twist…
In celebration of the AlUla Wellness Festival, an outdoor roller rink will be unveiled later this week by Good Intentions, giving those who appreciate a bit of nostalgia the opportunity to glide under the stars in an immersive experience that will combine music, colour and the natural beauty of KSA’s most stunning landscapes in a contemporary setting.
On from Thursday, October 6 to Saturday, October 22 music fans can expect performances by both local artists and international talents alike, in a space that fuses together health, wellness and a bit of (revamped) disco fever.
AlUla on Wheels: Everything You Need To Know
Skating sessions are designed to be approximately 45 minutes to one hour, with roller skates and headphones provided. Ticket prices start at 40SAR. AlUla on Wheels is located at Abdulrahman Bin Auf (old building) in the AlJadidah.
