#DiorStandsWithWomen: Charlize Theron, Cara Delevingne and Others Talk Embracing The Female Power From Within
The new campaign unveils a series of short films, celebrating women from all walks of life, and encourages everyone to keep their “Chin Up” when striving for success
It’s no secret that Dior has always been a champion of female empowerment.
From its breathtaking statements on the catwalk to the famous ‘We should all be feminists’ slogans on it-shirts, the French luxury fashion house has always advocated and celebrated the beauty of being a woman — and its new campaign is no exception.
#DiorStandsWithWomen celebrates the power of femininity with a series of short videos featuring ten extraordinary women, all sharing what it means to them to be a woman.
Cara Delevingne, Li Bingbing, Golshifteh Farahani, Yalitza Aparicio, Leyna Bloom, Parris Goebel, Pamela Tulizo, Paloma Elsesser, Carole Biancalana, Marina Cavazzana and, of course, Charlize Theron all reflect and share their own stories with the French fashion house, inspiring us all and providing women around the world with the reminder that, in the words of Pamela Tulizo, “I am a woman, I can do anything I want.”
“I think to fully understand what strength is, is to really look at women,” says supermodel Cara Delevingne, best known for her assertive personality.
In 2007, Charlize Theron founded the CTAOP (Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project), the UN Messenger of Peace had one goal in mind, to provide empowerment and education networks to sub-Saharan Africa including her home country of South Africa. Since its launch, the foundation has continued to thrive and support young women, which led naturally to the perfect match with the ‘Dior Stands with Women’ campaign.
In 2018 CTAOP launched an initiative and granted full scholarships to 15 students, making it possible for them to pursue higher education and university studies; Dior Parfums has recently revealed they will also be contributing to cover the scholarships for 2021.
We can guarantee you will feel as empowered as we do, and as the woman who inspired Dior’s iconic line, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie said “We should all be feminists.”
