A quick tap of a button and soon the world knows you’re carrying a little bundle of joy. Posting a pic sounds daunting with the sheer volume of followers some stars have, but nonetheless, Instagram pregnancy announcements have become a form of #SocialMedia etiquette for celebrities.
Beyonce broke records with her post in 2017, dethroning Selena Gomez’s most liked Instagram photo at the time in a matter of hours. Kylie Jenner stunned the world when she not only revealed she was pregnant, but had given birth three days prior to her announcement. Gigi Hadid was a bit more editorial when it came to her announcement with a full blown photoshoot. And now, American Model Ashley Graham just added to the list with the announcement of her second pregnancy to film director Justin Ervin, last night.
Be it a quiet photo with family, fashion spread, or just one or two emojis, pregnancy announcements are a joyous occasion. There’s never a right, or wrong way to spread the happy news.

Beyoncé’s pregnancy reveal shot by LA and New York-based artist Awol Erizku, stunned the world when the Carter’s announced they were expecting not one but two babes into the world. “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over,” read the caption. Within 30 mins the post had garnered nearly 1.2 million likes on Instagram in 2017.
Khloé Kardashian
Ever the trendsetter, Khloé Kardashian’s pregnancy announcement for her first child appeared to be straight out of a Calvin Klein editorial spread. “My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient.”
Serena Williams
Tennis star, Serena Williams adoringly wrote a note to her little girl for her Instagram announcement in 2017. “I can’t wait to meet you. I can’t wait for you to join the players box next year. But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you…. once again today.”
