Dubai Announces New Precautionary Measures For Events And Activities

All vaccinated Dubai residents can take a sigh of relief because the Dubai Media Office has announced updated precautionary measures for them, just in time for a fun summer season.
The new regulations for events and activities are effective for a trial period of one month starting May 17. According to Dubai Media Office’s Instagram and Twitter, Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management announces updated precautionary measures for various events and activities.
Wedding events are now allowed with a maximum attendance of 100 people at venues/hotels, providing all staff has been vaccinated. Home wedding events are allowed with a maximum attendance of 30 people.
Entertainment venues can have a 70% capacity, and hotels’ occupancy has been raised to 100% capacity.
Concerts, social and institutional events can be given on permits with the condition that all attendees and participants are vaccinated; maximum attendees at indoor events is 1500 and outdoor is 2500.
Restaurants can now seat 10 people per table, and coffee shops can have 6 people per table.
Community sports events are allowed with the condition that all participants, staff, and attendees have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
However, social distancing should be observed at two meters. This means all areas, including malls, restaurants, and cafes. Face masks are still considered mandatory, and the fine for not wearing a mask is still Dhs3000 per person.
Also, during all events and activities, precautionary measures must be taken.
