Everything You Need To Know About The Upcoming Milan Furniture Fair
The famed furniture trade show, also known as Salone del Mobile, will return with a special edition that is dubbed ‘Supersalone’ from September 5 to 10
This year, Salone del Mobile will be known as the ‘Supersalone’. The six-day event will be helmed under the direction of Italian architect Stefano Boeri, who will reinforce the relevance of Milan and Salone on the broader international spectrum of design, culture and innovation.
Every year, the Milan Furniture Fair brings together world-famous manufacturers, bright designers and prominent buyers from more than 190 countries. Throughout the three-style categories of the exhibition: Classic, Design, and xLux, a varied selection of objects and trends make their world debut alongside some brilliant design presentations and live events.
Thematic areas and trails, rooms for in-depth lectures, corporate meeting lounges and areas dedicated to young people from design schools will be spread throughout Salone del Mobile 2021’s distinctive format, with the edition’s main words, ‘beauty,’ ‘ethics’ and ‘sustainability,’ at the heart of the spaces.
Long, parallel partitions will characterise the event’s open-display structure, which will largely house the items of the exhibiting companies on modular, vertical walls. An impressive line-up of design houses the likes of Armani Casa, Baxter, Calia Italia, Cattelan Italia, Kartell, Roberto Cavalli, and Versace Home demonstrate the event’s stage and quality.
The fair will be held from September 5 to 10, 2021 at the Milan Fairgrounds, Rho.
