With years of experience in creating content surrounding the topics of fashion, beauty, lifestyle and motherhood Nina Ali (a.k.a. Lipstick Mommy) only shares the best with her followers — and that includes recommendations for when it comes to tasty treats.

The Lebanese-American Dubai-based mother of three has recently co-founded a cakery, Fruit Cake, that specialises in creating both ready-to-order and custom fruit cakes, along with smaller portions of the cake known as “fruit cups.”

In the video she highlights the story of a time when she and her team created different recipes for the cake and through trial and error developed the cake we know and love today. Nina knew it was the right recipe when he mother asked for a second slice. She said that, that’s when she knew this cake had the potential to be something everyone could enjoy.

And so, Fruit Cake was born.

The new cakery on the block has already stirred up some buzz as Nina posted the reveal of her fresh, homemade fruit cake that is completely butter-free, made with fresh fruit and includes a vanilla custard filling.
