How Much is Rihanna Really Worth in 2021? Billions, Apparently…
The award-winning singer-songwriter is officially a billionaire at 33 years old, according to Forbes magazine
The singer and entrepreneur’s estimated net worth is $1.7 billion (approx. 6 billion Dhs), making her the wealthiest female musician in the world and the second richest female entertainer behind Oprah Winfrey.
While many people may assume that her immensely successful music career is what made her reach billionaire status, the majority of her fortune, about $1.4 billion (approx. 5 billion Dhs) comes from the value of Fenty Beauty, the makeup line that Rihanna launched in 2017. Fenty Beauty, which is a 50-50 joint venture with French luxury goods corporation LVMH, was established with a mission to provide more inclusivity in the makeup industry and offer diverse makeup products that include a wide range of tones and textures for all skin types, making the brand one of the first to do so.
One year following Fenty Beauty’s launch, the brand was generating more than $550 million (approx. 2 billion Dhs) in annual revenues, the magazine reports.
The rest of Rihanna’s fortune mostly comes from her stake in her lingerie company, Savage x Fenty, which is worth an estimated $270 million (approx. 1 billion Dhs) and has an estimated valuation of $1 billion (approx. 3.6 billion Dhs), as well as her earnings from her music and acting career. Rihanna has acted in films such as Ocean’s Eight, Battleship, and Bring It On: All or Nothing.
Instead of spending her time releasing music albums (she used to release one almost every year but hasn’t done so since 2016), Rihanna has been dedicated to expanding her business empire.
Fenty Beauty products are available to purchase at Sephora Middle East stores and online at Sephora.ae.
