With increasing opportunities and developments for women in Saudi Arabia, The Kingdom is welcoming more women into the workforce that ever before.
Based in Riyadh, SheWorks is a private female-only co-working space, offering a comfortable and safe environment for women to work alongside one another.
According to AboutHer.com, SheWorks provides desks, office spaces, and conference rooms, offering start-up business consultation and governmental services to its clients, with workshops and classes to help “empower and educate female entrepreneurs.” The space also includes a meeting room that allows men to attend.
All facilities have the necessary work requirements, including a WiFi connection, air-conditioning, printers, scanners, photocopiers, and coffee, as well as a lounge and kitchen area.
Founder of SheWorks, Maha Shirah is a member at the Businesses Women Committee in Riyadh Chamber and the Saudi Coordination Council for Women’s Labor. Her own work experiences in banking and hospital administration inspired her to create a safe space for women in the workforce.
