Kim Kardashian Says She Is On A Mission To Increase Employment Opportunities For Former Inmates
The aspiring lawyer and former cover star wowed us in a surprise appearance at the White House on Thursday…
Kim Kardashian has partnered up with ride-share company Lyft to reduce unemployment rates for former prisoners. The idea is to provide gift cards that will allow former prisoners to get to and from to their job interviews, work and the homes of their loved ones.
Proud to partner on this initiative with @Lyft, a company with a history of taking bold action to do what’s right for our community. Thank you for providing ride share credits to formally incarcerated people when they come home.

Kim began her criminal reform journey when she came across the case of 63-year-old Alice Marie Johnson on social media, who was in prison for life following a nonviolent drug conviction. She brought the case to Trump’s attention and shortly after, Johnson was free.
While I have been able to offer support to some of the individuals I have met, the obstacles to success are an everyday struggle for thousands and more needs to be done.

After visiting several prisons, Kim began a law course in Cali and in last month’s Vogue issue announced her plans to become a lawyer. “My heart just completely opened up and I wanted to do more,” Kim said during her speech at the White House. Ivanka Trump posted a tweet thanking Kim for her passion.
