The streaming platform brings a collection of Lebanese flicks and storytellers together, showcasing their work within a dedicated section for film buffs around the world to enjoy

Our plans for the weekend have officially been sorted as Netflix has just released a new range of Lebanese content to its viewers, bringing over 30 new films to the platform.

The collection will feature award-winning films like The Little Wars, Where Do We Go Now, and several others that celebrate and showcast Lebanese talent in the forms — from drama to comedy to romance, and much more — while also including include the works of renowned directors Maroun Baghdadi, Phillippe Aractingi, Randa Chahal Sabagh, Nadine Labaki, and several others.

The catalogue highlights Lebanon’s creative community, showcasing the nation’s contribution to the entertainment world. Films like Cerf Volant and Caramel also represent the work of female directors and tackle important topics like female empowerment and cultural discrimination.

“The catalogue represents stories from filmmakers from different walks of life, covering a slice of everything that Lebanon represents – love, humour, and beauty,” Nuha El Tayeb, Director, Content Acquisitions, MENAT at Netflix says.

This collection comes as part of Netflix’s commitment to the global Hardship Fund, partnering with the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture to support Beirut-based artists.

As of today, these films will be available to over 193 million members worldwide with relevant subtitles in English, Arabic or French.
