Marriam Mossalli Repeats Outfit From Last Year’s #BoF500 Event In Support Of Sustainable Fashion
“Yes, I’m wearing the same @givenchyofficial cape I wore last year at #BoF because I live what I preach!”
Last year, Saudi entrepreneur Marriam Mossalli was honoured as one of Business of Fashion’s 500 most influential people in the fashion industry. At the 2018 event, which took place in New York, Mossalli wore an all-black ensemble, which featured a Givenchy cape, Ingie Paris dress, Dolce & Gabbana bag and YSL shoes.
Fast-forward a year, and the founder of Niche Arabia attended this year’s #BoF500 event, clad in the same Givenchy cape.
“Humbled to be part of @bof’s industry list again this year… and to share the same mission toward changing this industry for the better! From #inclusivity to #sustainabilty,” she writes on Instagram. “Yes, I’m wearing the same @givenchyofficial cape I wore last year at #BoF ♻ because I live what I preach!
Fashion & Retail are going through some major changes—and as a representative of Saudi’s, I’m excited to see how we can contribute to foster this new era of fashion!”
On a mission to raise awareness about sustainability, Mossalli is rewriting the sartorial rule book by recycling old clothes at high-profile red carpet events. What was once considered a fashion faux pax is now considered chic, and we couldn’t be more on board.
