Meghan Markle Has Given Birth To A Baby Boy
Welcome to the world, Baby Sussex!
It’s what the world has been fervently awaiting for weeks: the arrival of the royal baby. With the Duchess of Sussex’s original due date allegedly somewhere in late April, the Internet, social media and headlines had been awash with speculation around the baby’s name and gender, whether or not the baby had already been born and when it would finally arrive. The buzz increased particularly in light of Prince Harry’s planned trip to the Netherlands on 9 May, which suggested that the baby would have arrived by then.
The Duchess of Sussex went into labour in the early hours of this morning.

Whispered rumours turned into confirmation that the Duchess of Sussex did indeed go into labour early this morning. Buckingham Palace issued a short statement announcing the news, adding that Prince Harry is by her side.

And just moments ago, it was confirmed on the Sussex’s social media that the couple have welcomed a baby boy.
Meghan’s son is seventh in line to the throne. The couple has previously made clear that the royal baby will not make a public appearance on the day of its birth (as is royal tradition) – rather, the world will get a glimpse at Baby Sussex once they’ve shared some private time with their newborn.
