Jessica Mulroney hit back at trolls who complained about her wardrobe being “tiresome”
Round of applause (and a standing ovation, if you will) for Jessica Mulroney’s clap-back against a stranger who criticised one of her outfits on Instagram. The celebrity stylist and close friend of Meghan Markle took to the platform to post a screenshot of a message she recieved in her DMs, which stated, “Oh my god, lose the bell bottom pants. So over used in your wardrobe. Gets tiresome.”
Mulroney, who was not here for the negativity, replied, “Sorry. But I dress for myself. Not anyone else.”
The stylist also wrote an earnest caption along with the screenshot, where she firmly stated she was not here for the unecessary hate against women online and within the wider context of the fashion industry.
“These types of silly messages flood my inbox daily but I wanted to share this one in particular,” she wrote. “This is truly not about ME but here’s the thing. When I style women, I find shapes that make them look and feel their best. Repetition is not bad. I work with real women of all shapes and sizes.”
“I try to promote confidence within women through fashion. It is not about wearing all the silhouettes, it’s simply about what makes you feel good. Period.”
