One Year To Go: The Countdown Is On For Expo 2020
The city opens its doors in 2021 for the biggest event in the region hoping to reconnect the world
The final countdown is officially on…
With the theme of the World Expo 2020 being ‘connecting minds, creating the future’ there’s no doubt the six month event will be a celebration of innovation, technology and the global community coming together to find solutions for the everyday challenges we face as a society.

From October 1, 2021 through to March 31, 2022 the world fair will pay tribute to the resilience of humanity, its ability to innovate, and pursuit of optimism in the face of adversity (especially considering all of the challenges we’ve faced in 2020.)

The Expo 2020 site, located in Dubai South, has been up and running with final touches being added to the space. From state-of-the-art Country Pavilions to the landscaping and the assembly of Expo-owned buildings, the city is gearing up for the launch next year.
During these six months, visitors from all over the world will have the opportunity to experience, connect and work together with over 190 countries participating.

“Our World Expo has a mission to inspire hope, and in the coming weeks we will begin to share new details and ideas about space, health and wellness, travel and connectivity and other subjects that sit at the heart of this Expo. We hope that people will join us to achieve our objectives to bring the world together and put humanity and the planet on the right path towards dignity for all,” her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau says.
“As we mark a year to go until we open, I want to thank all those who work so hard and so passionately to deliver an exceptional Expo. From international participants, to government entities to the Expo tribe that has worked diligently and remained committed to bringing the event to fruition. The journey has been worth it, and in 365 days we will share our excitement and our passion with millions.”

With 365 days to go, 210 million work hours already completed, the first World Expo in the MEASA region is going to be a phenomenal event that you won’t want to miss.
