Prince Charles Just Shared His First-Ever Instagram Post
The message comes ahead of the royal’s two-day solo trip to India later this week
Prince Charles is the latest British royal to add a personal touch to his official Instagram page, following in the footsteps of the likes of Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth II.
Ahead of his two-day solo trip to India on Wednesday, Prince Charles shared a personal message to the official Clarence House Instagram page, which shares regular updates on the activities and royal work of Charles and his wife, Camilla. However, the most recent post uploaded to the page marks the first time that Charles has shared a statement himself.
“As I depart for India, on my tenth official visit, I did just want to convey my warmest best wishes to all of you in the Sikh Community in the United Kingdom, and across the Commonwealth,” Charles wrote.
He continued, “I wanted you to know just how much your community is valued and admired by us all,” before signing off as, “HRH The Prince of Wales”.
Charles is due to arrive in New Delhi on Wednesday this week, for a two-day solo trip that includes royal engagements focused on the growth of sustainable markets, climate change and social finance. On Thursday, Charles will also be celebrating his 71st birthday in the region.
