
Princess Haya And Sheikh Mohammed Help Victims Of Indonesian Earthquake
The Dubai royals have partnered with UNICEF and International Humanitarian City to send emergency shelter
Following the 7.5 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami that devastated Indonesia late September and has seen the death toll rise to close to 2,000, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Princess Haya bint Hussein have partnered with UNICEF and International Humanitarian City to help victims of the natural disaster.
The royals and the two initiatives have sent an Emirates Airline flight carrying emergency shelter and relief items to Indonesia. “UNICEF sent 92 MT of #reliefitems from their stocks located in Dubai’s International Humanitarian City warehouses to help with the aftermath of the devastating #earthquake and tsunami that hit #Indonesia,” International Humanitarian City share on their Instagram page.
“The transportation cost of the cargo aircraft chartered by IHC was kindly covered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; IHC CEO, Giuseppe Saba, supervised the loading in #Dubai airport this morning.”
