Serena Williams Shares A Snapchat Video About Meghan Markle’s New Cookbook
“I couldn’t be more proud of Meghan”
Meghan Markle is releasing her first cookbook, Together: Our Community Cookbook, and while all of the Duchess’ close friends have shared sweet messages of support, Serena Williams has especially shown an outpouring of love for her friend’s latest venture.
The tennis star received an early hard copy of the book, which launches tomorrow, and took to Snapchat to express her appreciation.
“This book is called Together: Our Community Cookbook that the Duchess of Sussex just put out today. It’s already number one on Amazon and I just got my copy straight from Kensington Palace,” she said in her Snapchat story, according to a video posted by royal commentator Omid Scobie.
“I couldn’t be more proud of Meghan,” she continued. “I really encourage you all to grab this book, it has wonderful recipes of all women from all backgrounds coming together and just doing something and cooking. Oh, and it’s for a good cause!”
She then pointed to a recipe and said, “Ooh, I think I’m gunna make that.”

This isn’t the time Williams has promoted Markle’s book on social media. On Monday, she wrote heartfelt notes on both Twitter and Instagram about the Duchess‘ new project.
“I used to call you Meghan (and I still do) but dear Duchess of Sussex your first project “Together” a cookbook bringing women of all cultures together,” she wrote in the caption.
“I could not be more excited about it and proud of you. It’s beautiful – diversity, inclusivity, coming together in grief or joy – there is just so much love. Link in bio to learn more, and how you can get a copy!”
Meghan and Serena met at DIRECTV‘s Celebrity Beach Bowl in 2014 and have been friends ever since, E! News reports. Williams even used to contribute to Markle’s former lifestyle blog, The Tig.
