Stewart Parvin Is Now The Favourite To Design Meghan Markle’s Wedding Dress
He has been the Queen’s dressmaker since 2000
With the royal wedding now less than four months away, speculation about who will design Meghan Markle’s bridal gown is mounting day by day. Predictions of Erdem, Alexander McQueen and Ralph & Russo might not have been so accurate, as the latest reports claim that Markle is set to opt for something altogether more traditional.
Stewart Parvin is now the favourite to design the most anticipated dress of 2018.
Stewart Parvin may not quite be a household name when it comes to fashion design, but when you learn a little more about him, he actually sounds like a very fitting choice.
Parvin has been the Queen’s dressmaker for well over a decade and was awarded for his services with a Royal Victorian Order in 2016. For the ceremony, the Queen paid him the ultimate compliment and wore one of his designs.
In addition to this, Parvin has also had some experience with royal weddings, having designed Zara Tindall’s bridal dress in 2011.

Parvin is known for his elegant and very traditional designs, which would definitely be fitting for what Markle has previously stated would be her choice.
“Classic and simple is the name of the game, perhaps with a modern twist,” the actress told Glamour in March 2016. “I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic.”
While Parvin could well be a likely contender, unfortunately we will have to wait until 19 May to know for sure.
