The New Turkish “Spa-Wear” Brand That Counts Hande Erçel As A Fan

A little sprinkling of star power can go a long way when it comes to helping a new brand get off the ground – and, naturally, having a celebrity in the family, willing to share new products with her ginormous following on Instagram, is even more of a bonus. After all, in today’s day and age, it’s all about who you know.
Turkish actress Hande Erçel recently posted a new image on Instagram fed, tagging a new brand that many haven’t heard of: Buldanerry.
Sporting in a white robe the star casually posed next to a wall, captioning the post with a sly “@buldanerry my fav,” without revealing too many details about why she was, essentially, using a dressing gown as a cover-up.
After doing some digging, Bazaar discovered that Buldanerry is a new online brand, which fills a gap in the loungewear market we never knew existed. Based in Turkey the label creates handwoven pestemals, scarfs and loungewear, using weaving techniques that date back two thousand years ago, creating all of their pieces from natural fabrics; think “spa-wear” but with an organic and modern twist.
Might seem a bit “off-brand” for the Sen Çal Kapımı star, but there’s good reason why she’s keen to share Buldanerry with her fans. According to Twitter, the brand was co-founded by Hande’s aunt.
