The schedule of the British royal’s first visit to the region has been announced

The Duke of Cambridge will make his Middle Eastern debut next week on the 24 June. Here’s exactly what the British royal will get up to in Jordan, according to Kensington Palace.

24 June

– Prince William arrived in Amman, Jordan and receive an official welcome at Marka airport where he will be greeted by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II.

– The two princess will then visit Fablab, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation that seeks to equip young entrepreneurs with the technology they need to realise their ambitions

– The Duke of Cambridge will deliver a speech at a Queen’s Birthday Party at the residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador before heading off for a private dinner with Prince Hussein at Beit al Urden.

25 June

– In the morning, the British royal will visit an archaeological site at Jerash, where is wife, Kate Middleton, is pictured [below] in the ‘80s with her family. 

– The Jerash archaeological site will host a celebration of the young people and refugees on the from the Makani programme, which is supported by UNICEF.

– Prince William will then travel to the north of the country to visit the Quick Reaction Force (QRF), a new base that has been formed with British military support. Here, he will witness the QRF practicing pre-deployment drills and will also meet British officers who have been posted to Jordan. 

– The final leg of the Jordanian trip will take place at Marka airport where The Duke will meet the Jordanian Air Ambulance.
