When Does The Six-Day Eid Al Adha Holiday Start?
Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming holiday for both public and private sector workers in the UAE…
With summer in full swing, we’re counting down the days until Eid al Adha – and what could potentially be a six-day holiday for both UAE public and private workers.
While exact dates won’t be announced for another few weeks, following confirmation by the moonsighting committee, Eid al Adha is expected to fall sometime around third week of July.
According to TimeOut Dubai, Arafat Day is expected to fall on Monday, July 19 with Eid Al Adha due to be announced the following day on Tuesday, July 20. It’s speculated that both the public and private sector will be given four days off during the work week — meaning an extra-long six-day weekend from Monday through to Saturday could potentially be in store.
