Your Sneak Peek At The New Apple Store In Dubai

Before it officially opens to the public tomorrow

Dubai tech fans rejoice as Apple is set to open its doors at their brand new store, in The Dubai Mall tomorrow. The space which spans across two floors is not only impressive in size but in the design too, which has been created with the community in mind. Set to become a meeting point for people to come together and not only learn about the products on offer but to also be inspired and entertained will be a true game-changer for the region.

“We view our stores as a modern-day town square, where visitors come to shop, be inspired, learn or connect with others in their community,” said Angela Ahrendts, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail. “And what better place to come together than overlooking Dubai’s epicentre, where the Dubai Fountain, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall meet. We are so honoured to have a home at one of the world’s most incredible and dynamic intersections.”

Perhaps the most impressive part of the store is the motorised “Solar Wings” that span the length of the store. 37.5-foot-high and designed by Foster + Partners the technology reacts to the ever changing climate within Dubai by closing to cool the store in the heat of the day and opening in the evenings. Created from carbon fibre and reinforced by polymer rods the structure also acts as one of the world’s most prevalent kinetic art installations. This is Apple after all.

If that’s not enough the tech giant has also announced their new “Today at Apple” sessions. Following on from the technical Geniuses the New Creative Pros are set to offer both individual advice and training for customers creative skills. Whether it’s photos or videos, music or coding or even art and design there are a whole host of choices, set to hone your needs and skills.
