The impossibly trendy eatery has found its UAE home on the 54th floor at the Address Sky View Hotel, Downtown Dubai and comes equipped with unparalleled Burj Khalifa views, an amazing atmosphere and some seriously-stylish people watching.
We headed there to combat Tuesday’s hump day, which happens to be the venue’s ladies night, ‘UPLIFT’. The incredibly reasonable price was a huge bonus, but the night itself could only be described as unmissable. After being guided towards a high table on the expansive balcony that overlooks the bright, dazzling lights of Dubai, we perused both the atmosphere and carte du jour. Post menu-browse we decided it would be rude not try the delicious sounding dishes on offer, and oh how glad we were we did. At the helm of the kitchen is executive chef, Howard Ko, whose delightful take on contemporary Asian cuisine ensures the quality is as high as the venue itself. The salads were light but not anyway lacking, and catered well to the more health-conscious among the group – the risotto however was the real crowd pleaser, and disappeared so quickly it had to be reordered twice.
Our stomachs came to be as full as the bustling roof terrace, but that didn’t stop us shouldering through the tres chic crowd to take a #MyDubai selfie of the Burj Khalifa, from which CÉ LA VI’s roof terrace is enough of a reason to visit on its own. For a night full of Je ne sais quoi, head to CÉ LA VI’s ladies night every Tuesday, from 10pm – 3am.
