Chez Charles’ comfortable yet contemporary interiors
Although the restaurant opened its doors in March of this year, the culinary brand of Chez Charles was actually founded in February 2012 by Charles Boghos. Encompassing a bespoke catering service, online gourmet shop and online deli shop, the brand has long been celebrated for their market sourced ingredients and multi-dimensional, creative flavours.
The Organic Red & White Quinoa
Deeply infused with the concept of ‘sans frontières’ cooking (meaning ‘no boundaries’), the kitchen is headed by Chef Jeremy who champions his produce above all. “The driving force behind the success of our cuisine is rooted deeply in the quality of our ingredients. We then experiment freely without limitations, being inspired by a variety of influences and cooking techniques. The result is a unique but exciting menu of contemporary French dishes that clearly sets us apart,” explains Chef Jeremy, “It is very important for us that we stay true to our ethos which lies in the ingredients, the cooking expertise, the creativity, and most importantly offering outstanding dishes that keep our guests coming back!”
Braised Lamb Shank
Packed with a blend of French and Mediterranean inspired dishes, their seasonal menus make the most of Chef Jeremy’s creative inspirations by fusing more traditional techniques with modern flavour combinations and contemporary cooking styles. Iconic French fare such as Pain Perdu and Escargot feature on the menu as do international influences such as the Thai Green Curry Mussels, a Bazaar favourite.
Traditional Tropézienne
Sampling an array of dishes from the menu includiong the buratta bruschetta, Tuna tartare, the popular Burgundy Snails à la Provençale was also a memorable dish, the Chez Charles update on this classic cuisine uses modern preperation techiniques as the intense garlic and butter flavors are replaced with lighter, unexpected and exciting ones that keep this plate as a best seller in the restaurant.
As for the newcomers in the dessert section, Chez Charles Restaurant spoils its guests with unexpected selections like the Magnum Ice Cream with a Chez Charles twist, the perfectly prepared Tropézienne and the Red Fruit Lemon Tart.
