BB Social: BB has a New York-esque buzz to it that’s pretty hard to find in Dubai, in no small part thanks to its bijou size, three storeys built around an iron spiral staircase, and a neighbourhood joint vibe. Order everything, but don’t attempt to climb up or down the aforementioned stairs afterwards.

Lowe: As a mum of two little ones you’re more likely to find me indulging in a lazy brunch than a fancy dinner on the weekend and Lowe hits the spot. Challenging the more conventional breakfast menu, Lowe serves it’s avocado toast topped with togarashi spiced grilled prawns, and smothers an otherwise average cheese toast with Vegemite. We’ll dress in our weekend best and order coffee and milkshakes from the attentive staff, who always manage to persuade us to order an extra cookie and slice of homemade carrot cake that line the curvaceous wooden bar.

CÉ LA VI: For the best views in Dubai, you can’t go wrong with CÉ LA VI. As you dine on contemporary asian cuisine, you’ll be spellbound by the glittering skyline of the city; a perfect combination that’ll have you swooning.

Akira Back Dubai: The Michelin-starred master chef Akira Back prepares authentic, Japanese-Korean fusion cuisine with American touches by the likes of 48 Hour Short Ribs, Duck Prosciutto, AB Mandoo, and handcrafted Origami Tacos. Besides the eclectic blend of Asian flavours, textures and the finest artisanal sourced ingredients, what’s really evident is the presentation and behind-the-scenes effort that goes into curating each dish.

3 Fils: Located at a fish harbour, 3 Fils is a hidden gem for Asian fusion cuisine lovers. Doesn’t take reservations, but it will definitely be worth the wait. The Rolls and beef carpaccio are outstanding and a must try!

Buddha Bar: The OG world-famous Buddha Bar is one of my most frequently visited lounges in Dubai. Nestled in Grosvenor Hotel in Dubai Marina, Buddha Bar does not fail to surprise one. From the pulchritudinous colour palette featuring bright red lighting to Far-east infused cuisine – Buddha Bar will definitely steal your heart!

COYA: If you’re looking for Peruvian food, COYA is the place for you. With beautiful and intricate details, this Latin American restaurant considered both the interior and the visual aesthetic of its meals. So picturesque you don’t want to take the first bite but in all honesty, the aroma of flavours leaves you too tempted. Once you start, you simply can’t stop.

Abd El Wahab: The first restaurant my friend took me to after I arrived to the UAE, so I would say I love it because over the time it became a symbolic “starting point” of my life here in the region. Apart from authentic (and indescribably tasty) Lebanese food, the restaurant’s location in Downtown Dubai reminds me of the fast pace city life I am so drawn to.
