The Academy Awards are upon us, and as you gear up for your own glamorous viewing party, glean a little inspiration straight from the stars. At this year’s 89th Annual Academy Awards Governors Ball, which is the official post-Oscar celebration, chef Wolfgang Puck is serving up some stunning dishes to the 1,500 person guest list of celebrities and industry insiders.

The theme of this year’s after-party is “magical transformation,” and that’s exactly what Hollywood’s A-List will receive via eats and décor. “The unique design of the space has been meticulously created to celebrate Oscar gold,” says Academy governor Jeffrey Kurland.

As guests arrive, the food emerges, which includes over 50 dishes of one-bite hors d’oeuvres and small-plate entrees that achieve true Hollywood glamour and culinary whimsy.

Think parmesan crisps with filet mignon, homemade pretzels with pimento cheese, gold-dusted truffled popcorn, and baked potatoes with caviar. Then comes the various dessert stations, which include everything from rice krispy pops to chocolate peanut butter tarts, and feature Puck’s sought-after 24-karat-gold chocolate Oscars.
