Dubai’s dining scene welcomes a dose of Mediterranean sophistication this festive season with the opening of Jou Jou Brasserie at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach on December 15. This new culinary destination pays homage to the spirit of the Mediterranean, capturing its signature coastal flavours and vivacious energy.

The interiors are the handiwork of acclaimed designer Tristan Du Plessis, blending relaxation with the refinement of French-Mediterranean design. Stepping inside feels like arriving at the sun-drenched courtyards reminiscent of our beloved seaside escapes. The dining space glows warmly, while the terrace beckons with its breezy charm — perfect for relaxed conversations and laid-back moments with friends. The overall aesthetic radiates a palpable joie de vivre.

The menu is a symphony of Mediterranean flavours, revealing Jou Jou’s commitment to the finest and freshest ingredients. Standouts include octopus carpaccio with a delicate espelette pepper vinaigrette, the indulgent lobster mafalde pasta in a rich crustacean sauce, and decadent winter truffle risotto, which can be elevated further with fresh white truffle. For heartier fare, we look to the wagyu tomahawk with black pepper jus while the moules marinière served with frites sends us straight back to summer.

The sweet finales are equally impressive, courtesy of pastry chef Nicolas Lambert. The interactive tableside tiramisu is a playful nod to Italian tradition, while the Apple tarte tatin served à la Poêle is a table-side talking point.

Jou Jou’s Sunday Brunch, debuting just in time for the festive season, is high on our list for celebratory dining. The brunch invites guests to indulge in a Mediterranean feast, complete with bespoke beverage stations and an electric atmosphere.

As Leonardo Baiocchi, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Dubai, puts it: “Jou Jou’s philosophy revolves around life’s little pleasures—simple recipes cooked to perfection, a service ethos rooted in warmth, and an ever-joyful atmosphere.”
