Why A Night Out At Ling Ling Is Always A Good Idea | #ChicEats

Bazaar Arabia experiences a taste Tao Hospitality Group’s newest restaurant and lounge, located at Atlantis The Royal…

“It took me ages to get a booking. I’ve been trying to come for weeks.”

The hostess smiles back at me, elegantly sashaying between tables as she directs us to our seats for the evening, conveniently located in a quiet corner of the restaurant near the floor-to-ceiling windows. Her all-black uniform with feathered detailing is chic enough that I’m ever so slightly envious I didn’t opt for a more dramatic look when getting ready. From the views, I’m very much aware that I’m in Dubai, but Ling Ling conveys the only kind of coolness one can find in New York City or Paris.

“Yes, it’s been busy since we opened,” she says, no hint of apology in her voice, as she pulls my chair out for me.

Ah, yes. The opening night. How could one forget? Memories of a star-studded evening, a glittering whirlwind of a night,  come back to me as I recalled, what might have possibly been, one of the grandest restaurant openings the region has ever seen.

Celebrities like Emily in Paris actor Ashley Park and supermodel Bar Refaeli mingled with local tastemakers, editors, and the stylish jet set that called the luxe resort home for the weekend. A surprise performance by Fat Joe took place at the height of the evening’s festivities, Instagram models holding their phones up as he raps along to some of hip hop’s most beloved noughties tracks.

Ling Ling has arrived in Dubai.

Having opened its doors back on January 22nd – the same weekend as the Atlantis The Royal’s grand unveiling – the Palm Jumeirah’s hottest Asian fusion restaurant, located on the 22nd and 23rd floors of the resort boasts unrivaled views of the Dubai skyline and Arabian Gulf.

Ling Ling’s invites guests to embark on a culinary journey, savouring a range of contemporary Asian delights, sharing style cuisine that channels the spirit of izakaya where bites accompany drinks. With three international locations in Oslo, Marrakesh, and Mexico City, the drinks and dining concept was initially born as the lounge area within the first Hakkasan in central London. Come for a drink, stay for dinner, and get caught up in the magic of the evening, dancing your night away as you gaze out onto The Fronds of the Palm Jumeirah.

Start your evening off with a few small bites like a Crispy BBQ Duck Bao or Singapore Chili Crab Spring Rolls. Must-try dishes include Crispy Orange Chili Beef and Bone Marrow Fried Rice. Finish it off with something sweet, before you make your way to the balcony terrace for a few cocktails under the glittering night sky.

While you may not know where the night will take you, an evening out at Ling Ling is always a good idea.
