Mastercard strengthened its partnership with the MICHELIN Guide in Doha this month for the first edition of the MICHELIN Guide Doha, held at Katara Hall, Raffles Doha, on December 12.

The event was a landmark moment in Qatar’s culinary evolution, which celebrated the country’s most highly-regarded gastronomic talent.

As the official partner, Mastercard curated an elegant evening of chic dining experiences, offering guests a multi-sensory journey through two themed paths: passion or optimism. Each path presented a unique ambience and flavour profile, inviting attendees to explore the creative synergy between food and local culture.

A maestro mixologist crafted bespoke mocktails featuring regionally-sourced ingredients such as saffron, cardamom, and date syrup; a delicious tribute to Qatar’s culinary heritage. To commemorate the occasion, guests received exclusive art pieces by Qatari artist Zainab Alshibani, reflecting Mastercard’s commitment to respecting the country’s rich cultural traditions and contemporary art.

“Doha’s inclusion in the MICHELIN Guide marks a significant milestone in the city’s emergence as a global dining destination, celebrating talented chefs and culinary teams who bring passion, creativity, and respect for local traditions to their craft,” said Erdem Çakar, country manager for Qatar and Kuwait at Mastercard. “Our ongoing partnership with the MICHELIN Guide enables us to showcase this richness while providing our cardholders with unparalleled culinary experiences that inspire and delight.”

Cardholders can enjoy exclusive benefits and access through the Priceless platform brought to life by Mastercard.
