With November right around the corner, Dubai is preparing for its annual 30×30 Fitness Challenge. For a whole month, the entire city will transform into a fitness hub with activities lined up to keep you sweating as you work off all those Summer calories.

An initiative by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2023 will take place from 28 October to 26 November and will challenge all participants to complete 30 minutes of physical activity for 30 days.

Dubai Ride

On November 12, Dubai Ride 2023 will create two routes for cyclists, a leisure 4 km family-friendly route through Downtown Dubai and the more strenuous 12 km ride along Sheikh Zayed Road which will be temporarily closed for cars and other motorized vehicles.

Location: Museum of the Future, Al Satwa, Coca-Cola Arena, Business Bay, Lower Financial St.

Dubai Run

On the last day of the challenge, the highly-anticipated Dubai Run 2023 will take place, allowing participants to run against the backdrop of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks, including Burj Khalifa and Museum of the Future, with 2 difficulty levels, a 5 km run suitable for children and eldery, and the more challenging 10 km run. With an attendance of 193,000 runners last year, HH Sheikh Hamdan hopes to cross the 200,000 make this time around.

Stand Up Paddle

Escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, this year’s Fitness Challenge invites participants to the serene village of Hatta on November 18, where there will be training sessions for stand-up paddling followed by a challenge session. If water sports are not your thing, you can attend a yoga class while you breathe in the fresh air and take in the majestic views of the hilly landscapes of Hatta.

Dubai South Run

On November 5, the Dubai South will take place starting from Dubai South HQ building in Jebal Ali, with an option of a 10 km run and a 5 km.

DFC Fitness Centres

DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village

Dubai’s iconic Kite Beach will be transformed into DP World Kite Beach Fitness Village, a centre for all things fitness, for a thrilling game of padel or football with your friends, a speaceful yoga getaway or workouts that make you “feel the burn”. With free classes and activity zones for children, this Fitness Village will be a great time for friends and families.

Run and Ride Central

Run and Ride Central, located near the Museum of Future, will hold over 600 free fitness classes, ranging from spinning and running to workouts like HIIT and Body Combat. The centre will be open from 7 am to 10 pm, allowing you to come in before or after work.

RTA Mushrif Park Cycling Centre Fitness Village

A paradise for cyclists, the RTA Mushrif Park Cycling Centre Fitness Village will offer mountain bike trails, a pump track, and track cycling, all with varying levels of difficulty. The centre will be open throughout the week from 7 am to 8 am and 4 pm to 8:30 pm, and on weekends from 7 am to 10 am and from 4 pm to 10 pm.
