From shopping local when gifting to spending time with friends, here are just a few of the best ways to spend the day…
Emirati Women’s Day is less than a week away!
Established in 2015 by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi, wife of His Highness Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is also often referred to as the Mother of the Nation, this special day in the UAE honours formidable Emirati females, their contributions to society and their incredible accomplishments.
Emirati Women’s Day is celebrated on August 28, which will be a Wednesday this year. In honour of this special day, Bazaar Arabia shares a few ways to celebrate Emirati Women’s Day 2024 here.
Spend The Morning At The Women’s Pavilion in Expo
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) is joining forces with the Women’s Pavilion to highlight the powerful impact that female Emirati global aid experts are having on bringing awareness to various humanitarian efforts and causes around the world. The celebratory initiative, which runs from 10:00-12:30, will feature a premiere of a new documentary Behind the Frontlines, highlighting the voices of courageous philanthropic volunteers.
