Calling all Tim Burton fans! After years of petitioning by movie enthusiats, the sequel of cult favourite Beetlejuice is almost here. With a cast that includes Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, Monica Bellucci, Catherine O’Hara, Michael Keaton, and Willem Dafoe, the movie – officially titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice – is certainly set to be one of the most hotly anticipate premieres of the Autumn season.
Since the original movie was released in 1988, Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice has been a fan favourite. The film was later adapted into a Broadway musical and various cartoon versions. Talks about a sequel to the hit film second have been in discussion for years now. Finally, it was confirmed to fans at CinemaCon 2023 that it was a go.
Jenna plays the role of Winona Ryder’s famous character, Lydia Deetz’s teenage daughter. The film marks the second time Jenna and Tim come together for a project after she played Wednesday Addams, the lead in Netflix’s hit series Wednesday.
As Beetlejuice Beetlejuice‘s release date grows closer, Jenna Ortega has stunned fans and fashion enthusiasts alike with her press tour attire, which ranges from bespoke pieces to reinterpretations of some classic looks from the cult film.
Jenna Ortega’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Press Looks
Jenna kicked things off in style with in an Alessandra Rich tartan set at the beginning . The look was made even more iconic because of its inspiration and resemblance to her co-star, Winona Ryder’s ensemble from a vintage magazine shoot, which also featured gothic details.
Awing her audience with an archival Vivienne Westwood off-shoulder dress with pleather detailing on a nude mesh base, Jenna’s look was completed with a custom pair of Mary Jane platforms from Steve Madden inspired by a snake from the original movie. For the cherry on top, she wore a set of rings by Dubai-based jewellery brand, Maison H Jewels, whose pieces have been worn by celebrities including: Bella Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, and Florence Pugh.
Her next look featured a corset and matching skirt set from the Saudi Arabian sisters Sarah and Siham Albinali’s brand, Lurline. Known for blending modern fashion with a hint of soft goth, this brand’s design was a perfect match for the film’s essence. As an additional on-theme detail, the textured leather corset aimed to pay tribute to the OG Beetlejuice universe’s character, Shruken Head.
When is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Coming Out in The UAE?
The movie is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024, as previously confirmed by Warner Bros.
Bookmark your calendars as the Roxy Cinemas website in the UAE states that the movie will be shown in the country on September 5. However, bookings haven’t opened yet.
