BLACKPINK’s Lisa Receives Award Nomination For SG
The K-Pop star could be walking away with a Lo Nuestro Award in February…
Lisa, one of the four members of the popular Korean girl group BLACKPINK, has collaborated with DJ Snake, Megan Thee Stallion and Ozuna to produce the single SG which came out in 2022.
BLACKPINK has been a tremendously successful girl group ever since its single debut of the Square One mini album in 2016. The youngest member Lisa made her solo debut with her album Lalisa in 2021. The twenty-five-year-old singer, rapper, and dancer sold over 736,000 copies within one week after the album’s release, proving that the beauty is also a huge success as a solo artist outside of BLACKPINK.
Lisa, also known as Lalisa Manobal is the group’s only Thai member and has come a long way in her almost seven years as a member of the famous Korean girl group together with Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé. She is not only a global ambassador for luxury brands like Bulgari and Celine by Hedi Slimane but has been also as model on the catwalk for the latter.
With her newest release SG, for which she collaborated with successful DJ Snake, stellar rapper Megan Thee Stallion and remarkable reggeaton-singer Ozuna, Lisa has now received a nomination for the Premio Los Nuestro awards.
The Latin music ceremony has nominated her and the other three of the collaboration for the award for ‘Colaboración “Crossover” Del Año’. Other nominees are The Weeknd and Rosalía with La Fama, Ed Sheeran and J Balvin with Sigue, and Chris Brown, Rauw Alejandro, and Rvssian with Nostálgico.
The Premio Los Nuestro 2023 will be held at Miami-Dade Arena on February 23 at 7pm GMT, 4am MEST, and can be watched on YouTubeTV.
