Calling All Budding Film Makers! Sharjah Art Foundation Wants You
The Second Annual Sharjah Film Platform will run from 11 – 21 December 2019
If you fancy yourself as the next Steven Spielberg then you might want to listen up, as Sharjah Art Foundation has just launched the open call for film submissions for the second edition of the annual Sharjah Film Platform. Think you’ve got what it takes? Then be quick to enter, as films selected will be included in the platform’s film programme this December, which will be held at the open-air Mirage City Cinema and the nearby Al Hamra Cinema, Sharjah.
Launched in 2018 by Sharjah Art Foundation, the platform was not only designed to support filmmaking in the UAE, but to support both a public programme featuring workshops and discussions, and the premieres of the Short Film Production Grant recipients’ films.
And with last year’s inaugural SFP featuring screenings of over 140 short and feature-length narrative, documentary and experimental films made by local, regional and international filmmakers hailing from over 40 countries, it really is an amazing opportunity for both emerging and established filmmakers, film producers, critics and students.
