Bollywood star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are expecting their first child. The duo shared a post on Instagram announcing their pregnancy on Thursday, February 29.
The caption read, “September 2024”, with motifs of baby clothes, shoes, and balloons, indicating when the actor is due.
According to news reports, Deepika is said to be in her second trimester.
The couple finally put an end to speculations about the pregnancy, which were circulating online amongst fans.
As soon as the announcement was made, the social media post was flooded with comments by celebrities and fans congratulating the duo. Actor Priyanka Chopra wrote: “Mubarak”, which means congratulations.
Speculations about the pregnancy grew after Deepika’s recent public appearance during the 77th British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA), wearing a glittery cream saree and custom jewellery by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
The star couple had gotten married in 2018 in a traditional ceremony at Lake Como, Italy.
