It could have been the recurrent promotion of insider information about the glamorous lives of ten millionaires living in what has been described as ‘one of the fastest growing cities in the world’ that has wrongly led avid viewers of the reality TV show to think that the cast members were paid a hefty sum to air their lives on the big screen.

In a report by Arabian Business, the publication revealed that the dazzling cast were paid just 9,175AED (approximately $2,492.99) each for every episode made. In addition, due to season two now underway, cast members are now being offered a 5% pay increase for their appearance upcoming release – including the latest addition to the cast Mona Kattan who, too, will be paid 9,175AED for the entrepreneur’s appearance.

Expectedly, the world’s leading entertainment platform is not happy. Arabian Business reports that Netflix is “determined to find the mole” who leaked the information with unidentified cast members left ‘embarrassed’ who request fees up to 100,000AED for public appearances.

In response to the leak, an anonymous cast member confesses that after the exposé the members have been left pointing fingers at one another saying, “everyone is wondering if it was one of the cast who did it. I know a couple of people are privately accusing me.”
