Lojain Omran, Danya Mohammed, And Zeina Khoury On Filming Dubai Bling And Their Success Stories

The highly anticipated series is set to release on October 27. Here, Bazaar Arabia speaks to three members of the star cast on their shooting experience, success story, and more…

The latest Arabic docu-soap, Dubai Bling, is taking the internet by storm with its A-list star cast and promo visuals circulating on all of our social media pages. The anticipated reality TV show will be released on October 27, and we can’t wait to see the extravagant lives of 10 self-made millionaires who will be sharing insight into their day-to-day adventures.

Whilst the women of Dubai Bling manage to stay looking effortless and glamorous on-screen they lead incredibly successful and hardworking lives such as CEO of luxury real estate company, Zeina Khoury.

“I moved to Dubai in 2006 after graduating with a degree in banking and finance where I was promised a job in real estate with one of the biggest developers at that time,” she says. “I was then faced with the first rejection and being advised to look into another industry because I didn’t have what it takes to be in real estate sales in Dubai.”

She continues saying, “I had two options then, either to find another job or to take a risk and try to find another position in the industry. This is when I was introduced to the developers of Palazzo Versace Dubai. They offered me a position and by the 3rd month I got the top sales award and the rest is history. A job in real estate has no floor but no ceiling either. I gambled on the unlimited income potential and it worked in my favour.”

Whilst for some, this journey to success wasn’t as easy as some may think, such as Saudi Arabian TV Host Lojain Omran, “To be honest with you, it was not easy at all for Saudi women back then to work as TV hosts, it was not very much accepted by the society. However, things changed recently, women are more empowered and we can see a lot Saudi successful women that’s what makes me proud today that I was one of the first influencers in my field.”

“Dubai is ‘the land of opportunities.’ If you are a hard worker and ambitious,  you will find your way to be successful and shine,” she adds.

Emirati vlogger Danya Mohammed who has risen to fame with her super engaging YouTube channel and ‘thedivadee’ Instagram page, opens up about her personal journey and her main source of inspiration. “The person that actually inspired me to start my own YouTube channel was my husband DJ Bliss. He started his channel first and was doing daily vlogs which inspired me to challenge myself and start my own channel and edit my own videos. I initially started with travel vlogs but then moved into the make-up and beauty field as it was something I was personally passionate about.”

When we asked Danya about her experience filming Dubai Bling and why she decided to go ahead with the exciting project, the vlogger shared her enthusiasm and said, “It was a fun experience filming Dubai Bling. Being a fan of reality TV myself, I was super excited to be part of this project. I decided to do this show because I wanted to try something new and step outside my comfort zone and show a different side of me that most of my audience might not have seen.”

“As you know, Arab audiences know me because of my TV programmes and day-to-day social media posts, so I wanted to take it to another level to reach wider audiences. Netflix was the best platform to reach my goals,” she added.

Successful Lebanese CEO, Zeina then went to share details about the various challenges when filming the series. While it appears to be all glamorous and fun, the behind-the-screen process was entirely different. “My experience was like nothing I have ever gone through or imagined. At times we are asked to be in a certain location and then suddenly one of the cast members joins the scene unexpectedly and opens a subject leaving you in shock and unable to control your reactions or emotions.”

“I decided to participate in the show because why not! First of all, I love Dubai and I do consider it my second home. I also found being on this show as a wonderful opportunity to share my success story with others, as I hope to inspire people throughout it and give them hope that they can be successful, build a beautiful home, have a social life, and pursue their dream simultaneously,” she added.

Dubai Bling is set to release on October 27 on Netflix.
