El Gouna Film Festival 2023 Has Officially Been Postponed For The Second Time

The announcement came in via an Instagram post this evening

The sixth edition of El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) has officially been postponed for a second time. The news came via the festival’s official Instagram page this evening.

The highly-anticipated Film Festival was initially expected to be held from October 13 and intended to run until October 20. However, an official announcement that occurred just a week back revealed new dates for the occasion, which was scheduled for October 27 to November 2, 2023. And this time, no new dates have been released.

The Festival’s ethos is to unite global filmmakers and act as the backdrop for the cultural exchange of ideas and discussion around film and industry growth in the region. Since its conception, the El Gouna Film Festival has facilitated the connection of regional and international artists to a larger audience of film lovers.

Festival Director Intishal Al Timimi has previously expressed her gratitude to renowned personalities Youssra, Hend Sabry, Tarek Ben Ammar, Yousry Nasrallah, Abderrahmane Sissako, and Atiq Rahimi for contributing to the festival’s success since its genesis.

The El Gouna Film Festival has become a prominent platform for celebrating Arab and international cinema and talent, and we look forward to its 6th Edition.
