Elyanna Makes Her Debut On Saturday Night Live
The Chilean-Palestinian songstress dazzled the audience with her amazing vocals this weekend, supporting Coldplay ahead of their World of Spheres tour
Palestinian-Chilean singer-songwriter Elyanna continues to add to her list of achievements this year, joining the iconic British band Coldplay for a performance on Saturday Night Live.
Coldplay performed their new hit single We Pray, bringing surprise guest artists Elyanna and Argentine singer Tini. This marks another milestone for Elyanna, after making her television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in May 2024 and headlining Coachella in 2023.
Elyanna’s unique sound and charismatic stage presence have turned her into a rising global superstar. Last year, in an exclusive interview with Harper’s Bazaar Qatar, the artist shared how her background has shaped her music.
“I’m inspired by my Palestinian-Chilean background as well as the American culture that I got to discover growing up in Los Angeles,” she said in her cover story for Harper’s Bazaar Qatar.
“This blend of cultures broadened my horizons. I was inspired by a lot of genres, jazz in particular. That was all I would sing as a young girl. So I believe who I am today is a result of the music I sang and listened to in my childhood. When I moved to the US, I just connected with Arabic music and my culture so much, it gave me another perspective on the type of music I want to create. Both Western and Eastern music are inherent to me, and they just come naturally,” she shared.
Elyanna proudly paid homage to her heritage for the performance, wearing a beautiful white dress featuring Palestinian embroidery when she took to stage.
Elyanna is set to perform alongside Coldplay in the UAE
Fans of the Ganeni hitmaker will be delighted to get the chance to see Elyanna live for four nights as the guest star at Coldplay’s World of Spheres Tour in Abu Dhabi. The British band confirmed that the vocalist will be part of the highly anticipated shows happening at Zayed Sports City Stadium.
