Emmy Nominations 2024: The Bear, The Crown and Shogun Dominate The List

Read the list of nominees for the 76th Emmy Awards, set to be hosted by Tony Hale and Sheryl Lee Ralph in September

Annually celebrating the immense talent and efforts of performers, shows and series in the American and international television industry, the Emmy Award nominees list is eagerly awaited each year. The 76th year’s list is in; over 24,000 Television Academy members have cast their votes, and the winners will be revealed live from the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15.

Record Breaking Nominations

At last year’s awards, HBO/Max swept the boards with SuccessionThe Last of Us, and The White Lotus, but this year’s list suggests that FX will be taking home the most trophies. its series Shogun, the smash-hit Japanese period drama garnered the most nominations of any series this year, achieving 25 across the categories of Best Drama Series, Best Actress in a Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series, among others. The production company achieved another 23 nominations from its other hit series, The Bear.

Other notable entries include Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, 21 nominations; HBO/Max’s True Detective: Night Country, 19 nominations; and Netflix’s The Crown, with 18 nominations. Netflix, meanwhile, achieved a staggering number of 107 nominations, across 35 programs, and The Walt Disney Co. achieved a total of 183 Emmy nominations across its many platforms.
