After the massive success of HBO’s widely-watched television series Euphoria starring Zendaya, Sam Levinson’s upcoming release, The Idol, has already been making the rounds online for its A-list star cast and engaging plot that has fans sitting at the edge of their seats.
Set against the backdrop of the music industry, the story revolves around the complicated relationship between Jocelyn, a young and ambitious pop star played by Lily Rose-Depp, and leader, played by none other than The Weeknd, who is also co-creating the show.
Partnering with the Starboy singer this time, the Malcolm & Marie director has introduced a star-studded cast consisting of a myriad of entertainers such as acting debutante BLACKPINK‘s Jennie Kim and musician Troye Sivan, actors Rachel Sennott, Hari Nef, Suzanna Son, Dan Levy, and others.
The show’s teaser trailer released in October 2022 that kept fans wondering when they can binge-watch the much-awaited show. The star cast walked the red carpet at Cannes 2023 this year in their very best ensembles that further built the hype of the show launch.
