Indian Matchmaking has caused quite the storm online ever since its first season releases back in June 2020. With popular matchmaker Sima Taparia known as ‘Sima Aunty, ‘ going through profiles to try and pair singles together from all across the globe, fans cannot wait to see whether or not the duos actually make a successful match.
The first two seasons kept us entertained and at the edge of our seats as we saw Akshay Jakhete, Aarti, Nadia, and many others go on several dates and meet potential candidates on their journey to finding their life partners. And now season three has launched, and we have already binge-watched the first few episodes.

While Indian Matchmaking has kept us entertained and is undoubtedly one of the most popular and loved shows on the platform, it has led many of us to think about whether or not the show is real or is scripted.
With Matchmaking being a popular tradition in several countries, we aren’t stunned by the concept.
So…Is Indian Matchmaking Real?
While Sima Taparia has over 129k followers on Instagram and is titled an official matchmaker, and has paired couples in the past, we cannot confirm whether or not the series is scripted or not.
According to Mirror UK, one of the contestants have confirmed that the show is real. But again, we aren’t fully sure.
