Netflix has finally unveiled its list of singles who will be participating in the regional adaption of the show
After months of speculation The Love is Blind Habibi cast members have finally been revealed. Bazaar Arabia introduces you to the men and women participating in Netflix’s regional adaption of its hit “social experiment” series here.
From Sweden to Brazil, Netflix’s hit series Love is Blind has taken the world by storm – and it’s finally coming to the region, set to premiere in just a few days. Filmed in Arabic, the show will follow single Arab men and women on their quest to find their life partner.
The concept of the series is fairly simple and relatively remains the same for its international adaptions: participants interact with other candidates by entering “pods” where they converse with each other, building a relationship purely on conversation – without ever physically seeing who they’re talking to. It’s similar to speed dating, but without seeing who’s taking you out on the date. If two contestants choose to get engaged, they later meet in person in a dramatic reveal-style rendezvous.
Love is Blind Habibi follows the same format, taking cultural sensitivities and customs in mind throughout the filming process. Netflix has confirmed the cast comes from a diverse range of Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, and Iraq.
