Back in July 2022, it was announced that Only Murders in The Building would be renewed for a third season, much to fans’ excitement.

Only Murders In The Building follows three strangers, Charles-Haden, portrayed by Steve Martin, Oliver, portrayed by Martin Short, and Mabel, portrayed by Selena Gomez, who, besides living in the same building on the Upper West Side, only share their love for the same true-crime podcast. In the first season, the strangers become friends due to a suspicious murder happening in the apartment building they live in.
The trio decides to investigate themselves as the police doesn’t do a job they deem thorough enough. Recording their findings, Mabel, Oliver, and Steve-Haden shortly have their own popular true-crime podcast.
In season two the trio becomes the suspects themselves in the cruel murder of another building resident and needs to find ways to prove their innocence and finding the real perpetrator.
In July 2022 the renewal of the series for season 3 has been officially announced, leaving fans in anticipation for the television version of the popular true-crime podcasts. Selena Gomez is not only starring in the popular Hulu series, but she is also one of its co-producers. Taking to an Instagram video she shared on January 18, the brunette beauty announces, that season 3 is now officially in the making.
Not only that, in the clip, Selena asked “Could it get any better?” And Meryl Streep appears from behind, jokingly handing co-star Steve Martin a pillow. The three-Oscar-winning actress has certainly proven time and time in how many different roles she can slip into. From Miranda Priestly in Devil Wears Prada over Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia! to prime minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady, Meryl Streep has been them all. According to TV Guide fans of the murder-mystery series can expect season 3 to air sometime around summer 2023. A concrete date however has not been given yet. Only time will tell.
