40-year-old Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas is all set to hit the screens again with her upcoming film Love Again that revolves around Mira, her character, who is mourning the loss of her fiancé by sending romantic texts to his old phone number.
Her co-star Sam Heughan of Outlander fame plays Rob, a journalist, who is the recipient of these text messages.
Sparks fly as the cynical journalist looks to build a connection with the bereaving protagonist while working on a profile of the musician Céline Dion who helps him meet Mira. Twists ensue as the love story explores the growing connection between the characters.
The American remake of the 2009 German film SMS für Dich (Text for You) also features new music from Céline Dion, who describes it as a “wonderful feel-good story” to PEOPLE.
Making an unexpected cameo in the trailer is the musician and Indian actress Priyanka Chopra’s husband, Nick Jonas.
Preparing for a Mother’s Day release, Love Again is set to release on May 12, 2023 globally.
