Prominent Qatari singer, songwriter, and composer Dana Al Fardan is set to take the stage at the prestigious event, entrancing the audience with her captivating vocals during the annual Trophée Chopard gala on Friday, May 17, in celebration of up-and-coming filmmaking talent.

Representing the region with her unique artistic vision, Dana’s musical performance seeks to guide listeners towards a path of enlightenment through neo-classical music and electronic elements.

“As the first Qatari and, indeed, Gulf composer to perform at such a celebrated global occasion, I am truly honoured,” Dana said in a statement. “It is an incredible privilege to have the opportunity to share Indigo’s intimate and innovative journey with such an esteemed audience, but Indigo is more than just a concert. My vision when creating this piece, was to transcend conventional boundaries to create a unique immersive experience rooted in neoclassical music and electronic elements, where colour and light interact to guide the audience on an introspective path towards enlightenment.”

Her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival will mark another pivotal moment in her remarkable career. She previously achieved an incredible feat when she collaborated with director Federica Cellini and the Symphonic Orchestra of Sicily to compose music for the play Giocando con Orlando at the Teatro Politeama Garibaldi in Italy.

Dana’s latest single, Falling, which was released last month, is currently available on all streaming platforms.

With her passion for storytelling through music, we can’t wait to witness Dana’s mesmerising performance at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
